Preamble

The Preamble to the Bill of Rights

Congress of the United States begun and held at the City of New-York, on Wednesday the fourth of March, one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine.

THE Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution.

RESOLVED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, two thirds of both Houses concurring, that the following Articles be proposed to the Legislatures of the several States, as amendments to the Constitution of the United States, all, or any of which Articles, when ratified by three fourths of the said Legislatures, to be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of the said Constitution; viz.

ARTICLES in addition to, and Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America, proposed by Congress, and ratified by the Legislatures of the several States, pursuant to the fifth Article of the original Constitution."[30]

  • First Amendment – Freedom of speech, press, religion, peaceable assembly, and to petition the government. (This is good, we are going to keep this one)

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The story of this play mentions the Assult Weapon Ban of 1994. It played a key part in the capitalist plan. If we are not allowed to have these weapons, then what if a situation like this arises. The only reasons I stress this is because our founding fathers made Right to bear arms the second amendment.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.

This is very out dated. How about a new Third Amendment.
Everyone has the right to a house! Or at least some where to live. There are too many homeless people in the richest country in the world.

Anyone that does not have a home, you are welcome to come live in one of mine. My company is going to provide free living to people that cannot afford a home.


No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.


The partriot act has very much changed this amendment. I am white, so i do not have as many problems. But anyone that looks like they are from the middle east is subjected to being terrorist at airports. It is so bogus because it is simply a cover for racism. I think that we should have a ZERO Discrimination policy in the new order. How we are going to inforce that? Education.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

This one is a joke. If a higher power wants you dead, there is not much due process is going to help. The entire court system is completely based on how much money you have. If you are poor, and cannot afford a good lawyer, then you do not matter.
How about a amendment that protects you from that.

No person shall be held to answer for any capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

I fully intend to give all the Elites a fair trial.

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district where in the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.

In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

  • Eighth Amendment – Prohibition of excessive bail, as well as cruel and unusual punishment.

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

  • Ninth Amendment – Protection of rights not specifically enumerated in the Bill of Rights.

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

Screen Play Glossary

Screen play
A medium for political expression and to get the word of equality to the people. This screenplay is going to be put into motion so it can reach as many people as possible.
Truth commission
The commission of working people that discovered the crimes of inequality. The Truth Commission was formed and set out to end inequality and greed once and for all. A truly charitable organization.


WTO
World Trade Organization. This organization, including NAFTA (north American free trade organization are the root of all capitalist evil and power. The laws of 'free trade' are to insure the maximum profit at what ever human expense.



BSoL Act
After the war, the Basic Standard of Living Act was passed, this act guaranteed all people basic human rights.

US People's Workforce
The people formed a collective Force in response to being attacked by the Elites. This workforce was the driving force of the resistance.
Elites
The Elites are the people that were called billionaires before the war. They horded all the money they stole from the people and used it to finance war on the rest of us.
The Great War
The war fought between the working people and the Elites. Started in late 2007 and ended late 2009
Blood revolutionary Arm’s Army
Branch on the US People's Workforce, lead by General Justice Jericho in the final assault on the Elites last remaining fortress.
United People’s Army
The collective army of all the working people in North America and China.
Capitalist
Term used to describe anybody on the side of the Elites. Anyone that used capitalism and greed for personal profit.
Working People
Describes anyone that made less then $1 million a year before the war. These are the people that actually do all of the work in society.
FPHR
The Foundation of Human Rights stared as a online networking group. Was later expanded to allowed all people to join. This is the organization that led to the trails of the Elites

Online Justice
Trial This is the trail hearing and orginal sentecing of the Elites for their crimes against the people. After the war, a new trail was held called the People Verdict. This is were they tried the remaining capitalist for the orginal crimes and now for their war crimes.


Virtural Jury
This is the jury of peers that make the decision of guilt or innocence based on the happenins of the court trail. This consisted of 50,000 people.

Territory
Land the Elites called their own, and they outlawed anyone else from stepping on it.
Artillery Range
The Elites set up massive artillery to protect their territory. Outline in maps. The battleships could fire 200 miles. They completely destroyed everything that was within 10 miles of the costs. Forced the remaining people to retreat inward.


Red Wing
Advanced Military Fighter Jet. No know means of taking them down are known. The have a gloss cannon on the front and they drop acid bombs.
Gloss cannon
A extremely high power cannon that is similar to a Gatling gun. The gloss cannon shots liquid metal at extremely high velocity. The metal is so hot that is burns right though any target it hits.
Acid bomb
Bombs dropped from the Red Wings. These bombs looks like large hockey pucks. Hundreds are dropped at once. When they hit the ground, they melt into a burning ball of acid, destroying whatever it landed on. Also causes massive fires. One pay load from the Red Wing out burn down an entire city if fires are not controlled.


Battleship
These were the Elite’s ace in the whole. There was nothing that we could do to destroy the 4 massive battleships that Elite’s controlled. Two were stationed outside of Elite’s Headquarters and one at each of the other fortresses. Each ship completely 4 tours of the coast around the base.
Tour, battleship
A tour was 200 miles up and own the coast in both direction. Blasting every standing building within this radius. Each battleship did 5 or more tours in the second year of the war.
Tour, Red Wing
The Red Wings dropped acid bombs on all the land that the battleship cannons could not reach. Millions of miles of towns, cities and wilderness was burned to the ground as a result of uncontrolled fires.

Wow, this play is truly amazing. You did a great job writing this. I think it will be a success when you finish production.

While I thought this was a great play however, I must tell you my (brief) opinion about the ideas expressed. First, I am opposed to the idea of the creation of this new form of government, not so much because of what it stands for, but because of how it accomplishes its goals. In the beginning, you stated that this started with the unified workers party (I probably have this name wrong, but the idea is the same)got together and unified through an online service. The actions that resulted from it (putting the 'elite' on trial) came as a result of this. Well this had a profound impact all across the world. It is true that this online group was open to anyone that wanted to join, but there are far more people in this world without internet access, without computer access, and without the technological knowledge to work such a device. You claim that this new government is by the people and for the people, yet not all of them got to decide on the actions that were taken. (I am not trying to make the point that the majority of people that did not have access to such things would vote against this, I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy of it and of the main character).

Next, there is the issue of realism in the individuals supporting this cause. Would would actually support this cause in America. I can see the poor supporting this cause as they would see the biggest advantage of the system. However, I do not see the lower-to-upper middle class supporting it. They (typically) have a good enough life and are satisfied. Also, they (in my opinion) have the same mindset as the 'elites'. They aren't always mad at the wealthy, but rather inspire to be the wealthy. I am not saying that all of society is like this, but there are quite a few.

Also, this new form of society is said to have taken place around the world, yet you tell it only from the American perspective. While this is a good way to get your point across (to whom I'm assuming is your target audience), I do not believe that it helps to get your point across. You talk about world unity, and equal rights for all. That is much easier to say from an American perspective than say someone who lives in South Africa.

You posed the question "Who's side are you on?" Before reading this, I would have easily consider myself on the side of the 'elite' because that myself, is what I aspire to (even though I will probably never come close). I support people conducting their lives in ways that will benefit themselves. And I support everyone working as hard as they possible can to do such a thing.

But you also made some very good and interesting points. That everyone should be given a chance to do such a thing. While I fully support your points on everyone should have food to eat, water to drink, and access to an education, I question how this is going to happen. This society that you have created is based off the principle that everyone wants to work hard, everyone wants to make something for themselves, and everyone is good at heart. But how far should your system help those that dont want to do such a thing. What about the people that are comfortable 'just surviving' if they dont have to do anything. Should these people be punished?

You also stated that certain people that have jobs that will benefit all of society should be paid more. How does this fit into your society? One way you could look at it is that these profession would just replace big business that exists today. Instead of people trying to better there lives with gadgets and gizmos, they would replace it with things on that list. However, by doing this, they are creating a better society, while improving their personal life, much as the same way that business owners do today. By finding ways to get ahead, then going for it.

Anyway, back to the question you posed. What side am I on now? I believe that the way this world works needs to change. I believe that it will not be able to sustain itself for much longer. And while I disagree with many of the points that you made, I also believe they have much truth in them. I believe that a society as the one you have created in this screen write could be the answer to our problems. But I also believe that it can never happen. Something bigger than us (and when I mean us I mean humanity. Before anything can happen, we need to find a way for the Whole World to unite and set aside our differences.

Necessity is the means for change. While our system still works, while the world is still able to work under this system (no matter how poorly it does work) nothing will change. And for something to change it will have to be as you pointed out, the whole world coming together.

Anyway, to sum this up, while I may disagree on some of the points that you have made, I think you did an excellent job of making you point. You have given me a lot to think about, and I hope that it will do the same for your audience. I am not sure who originally said this but "While I disagree and oppose what you have to say, I will fight for your right to say it."
